This course examines the nature and causes of juvenile delinquency, as well as current strategies used in its prevention and control. Other topics include a review of multi-factor theories on delinquent behavior and different approaches to prevention. The class will also examine the landmark decisions within the juvenile justice systems explanation for return to a classical approach and adversarial system present in juvenile courts.
