This certificate is part of the A.S. Veterinary Technology degree.
This is a one-year certificate program available part-time. The program aligns with the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA) recommendations for certification for the state of Florida. Students will complete a task-oriented curriculum focused on skills required for assisting veterinary technicians and veterinarians in clinical practice and includes hands-on and clinical experiences under the guidance of veterinary and veterinary technician faculty.
Program-Specific Admissions Information: This is a limited-access program; student must submit a separate application to the program. Completion of the certificate program will serve as an acceleration mechanism for the A.S. Veterinary Technology degree at EFSC. Admission to both programs is limited.
