Teaching English as a Second Language (TSL)

TSL 4324  ESOL Strategies for the Content Area Teacher

Prerequisites: EDF 1005 with a grade of "C" or higher  
This English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) strategies course is designed to help students that plan to become content area teachers gain skills to provide effective instruction to English Language Learners (ELL) in the mainstream classroom. Students will effectively integrate and apply ESOL instruction strategies to develop and deliver curriculum. Students will also evaluate culture and its impact on classroom learning. Students must volunteer 15 hours in diverse classroom settings including ELL, high performing, and/or Improving classrooms.
