Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS)
The Bachelor of Applied Science Degree (BAS) is a career oriented degree that builds on skills acquired in the workplace or through previous coursework. The BAS programs are designed for students who already hold an Associate in Science, Associate in Arts, or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, including recent graduates and those with experience in the work force.
EFSC offers Bachelor of Applied Science degrees in
- Applied Health Sciences with the following specializations: Advanced Allied Health Specialization, Biomedical Science Specialization, Biotechnology Specialization, Medical Imaging Sciences Specialization, Veterinary Technology Specialization
- Computer Information Systems Technology with the following specializations: Cybersecurity Specialization, Data Science Specialization, Networking Systems Specialization, Program Development/Software Development Specialization, Project Management Specialization
- Organizational Management with the following specializations: Accounting Specialization, Banking and Financial Management Specialization, Event Planning and Management Specialization, General Business Specialization, Healthcare Management Specialization, Human Resource Management Specialization, Nonprofit Management Specialization, Public Administration Specialization, Public Safety Specialization, Sales and Marketing Specialization, Sports Management Specialization, Travel and Tourism Management Specialization
The Program and Admission Requirements chart lists specific admission requirements by program, such as if the program is limited access or requires a specific degree, certification or license, and if the program is financial aid eligible. The Program of Study page for each program will outline program-specific courses and other requirements.
Refer to the Bachelor Degree Programs overview page to find information about admission, graduation, general education and other requirements. Students who need technical electives will work with a bachelor’s advisor to determine the courses best suited to their plan of study.
Specializations: Several EFSC Associate in Science (A.S.) and Bachelor degrees have multiple associated specializations. Students must select one specialization, and will receive the specific A.S./BAS degree only one time. While students may take courses from more than one specialization, the specific degree will be awarded only once.

The transcript and diploma will be posted with the degree name, not the specialization.
