Students can only select one major and one specialization. Students may receive a specific A.S./BAS degree only one time. Students may take courses from multiple specializations, however, the degree will be awarded only once.
The Applied Health Sciences BAS, Medical Imaging Sciences: Informatics/PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) specialization is used primarily in healthcare organizations to securely store and digitally transmit electronic images and clinically-relevant reports. The technology focused coursework allows imaging professionals registered in Radiography, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy to expand their career options through this unique program. Many of the courses are available online.
