This program prepares students for entry-level positions as a forensic science technician, crime scene investigator, or laboratory technician. Students will learn essential skills, such as collecting, identifying, and preserving physical evidence, as well as performing tests on various materials.
The credits earned in this certificate program can also be applied toward the A.S. Crime Scene Technology degree, opening up further career opportunities.
Individuals considering enrollment must have excellent written and oral communication skills and reading and critical thinking skills. Basic computer skills, including keyboarding, are strongly recommended prior to enrollment.
