This certificate program provides students with the training necessary to maintain an Oracle database, and prepares students for the Oracle Database Administrations Certification. Oracle databases are among the most sophisticated databases currently available and are used by large corporations to store corporate-wide information. Credits earned for this certificate may apply to the related A.S. Computer Information Technology degree.
An Oracle database allows for multiple-user access, control of the level of user access, and the development of specific procedures for accessing information. Opportunities for employment of students with experience in Oracle databases include state and federal government agencies, medium-to-large corporations, and Internet-based companies.
